This short quote might just grab you and make you think about whether you’re in a writing mode or a not writing mode.
The writing business does have periods of not writing: paper work, taxes, promotions, conferences, etc.
But Reese isn’t talking about that. She’s talking about the not-writing that gets out of hand. I like her solution, and it has to do with play.
